Inspired by Jacques's work, we set out to reimagine his beautiful sculptures in a different medium. What began as a study of material and shape became an exploration of transformation.
The CARTON series plays with perception, turning clay into forms that feel lightweight and familiar, yet reveal a depth of craftsmanship and creativity. We wanted to replicate that same sense of surprise. In our version, these objects come to life: bending, shifting, and morphing in ways impossible in the physical world.

To capture the essence of the original sculptures, we focused intently on material. Every surface was crafted to give the tactile qualities of clay, its color, its softness, its subtle imperfections. The goal was not just to imitate, but to embody the physicality of the material in a digital space, preserving its richness and authenticity.

The set is minimal, yet intentional: soft gradients and neutral tones serve as a refined backdrop for the ceramic pieces. Every surface and shadow was designed to express calm and elegance, capturing the precision of Jacques’s original work.
Lighting played a central role in shaping mood and perception. We chose a controlled, subtle approach, balancing soft highlights with deep shadows to emphasize volume and tactility, always ensuring the focus remained entirely on the sculptures themselves.

Collaborating with Jacques was both an honor and an inspiration. His openness, insight, and understanding of form guided us throughout the process. What began as an interpretation quickly became a shared exploration of material, movement, and meaning.
We’re also deeply grateful to Charles J Monneraud for his beautiful music, which added depth, emotion, and atmosphere to the project. Thank you, Jacques, for bringing us into your world of ceramics.
