We started work on SIGNED to prove how far we can push high-intensity motion design. Built in Blender, the project blends 2D and 3D animation. We made use of geometry nodes that move and bend objects, and signed distance fields that bring shapes to life across different surfaces.
SIGNED is about communication and impact; grabbing someone's attention with a simple idea at it's core.

We explored how things like traffic signs and scaffolding, the stuff you walk past every day, can be transformed into visuals that make you stop, look, and keep watching.
Showing how thoughtful motion and design can turn something ordinary and boring into something engaging and alive.
As with our past projects, our goal was to elevate realism to the next level. By integrating parts of the animation into real-world environments, we made the motion feel tangible and believable, with the goal that a still frame could pass for reality.

Before releasing SIGNED, we created a short teaser to give the audience a sense of the tone and mood we were exploring. We kept it dark, raw, and minimal; revealing just enough to hint at the direction without giving too much away.
The focus was on texture, atmosphere, and rhythm; a glimpse into the world we were building, rather than a full reveal.
Massive thanks to Blair Taylor for the incredible original music. His composition became the backbone of the entire animation, shaping the rhythm, influencing every cut, and adding a layer of energy and unpredictability that brought the visuals to life. The project simply wouldn't be the same without his sound guiding it.
A special thanks to Tego Gratos for their incredible sticker designs, which brought a raw, street-inspired energy to the visuals. Their gritty aesthetic blended seamlessly with the animation’s tone, adding texture and attitude in all the right places. We’re so grateful to have had their work featured in this project.
