20K Celebration

We created 20K Celebration to mark a massive milestone: hitting 20,000 followers on Instagram. To be honest, we're still pinching ourselves, reaching this community in just two years feels like a fever dream.

To celebrate, we didn't just want to say "thanks`", we wanted to show what we're made of. While our portfolio is diverse, this project serves as a dedicated showcase of our product rendering capabilities combining precise hard surface modeling with high energy motion design.

The Drawing Board

Since the beginning of this project we knew we wanted to create something clean and sleek. We began by analyzing industrial hard-surface languages, specifically targeting designs that utilize negative space to direct the viewer's eye.

Using Blender as our primary tool, we moved rapidly through various iterations, to quickly feel out the overall shapes we wanted to go for.

Bringing it to Life

Once the design language was locked in, we transitioned into the technical build. We already knew how we were going to show off this device, so the rig was tailored to what we needed.

Lighting a flat object is always a bit of a challenge. We used a targeted lighting setup to add depth where there was none, creating a path for the viewer's eye to follow. It wasn't just about making it bright, we wanted to hit those specific angles that make the metal pop and the details visible.

The Sauce

As the device itself is very clean and elegant, we decided to break that up with bold graphical elements in the screens where we show the most important message, celebrating a major 20K milestone with the community that got us here.

We pushed the saturation to the limit to ensure the display "pops" against the grey textures, while the animation style shifts into a playful, hyper-energetic gear to match the hype of the moment.
